Thank you for your interest in a position with Costco Wholesale in our Member Service Center. 

This position entails inbound and outbound phone calls and email correspondence from our members, delivery and installation teams and technicians in a friendly and efficient manner.  Our staff operates as the liaison between Costco.com customers, vendors, buying and operations staff as well as assists callers with merchandise and services provided to our members.

Our position requirements include:

  • Communications - Articulates information, both verbally and in writing, in a way that can be easily understood via phone calls and/or member facing chats.
  • Member Service – Exhibits a professional demeanor while assisting members in a prompt and effective manner. Is proactive and reacts quickly and appropriately in identifying problems, finding solutions, and making sound decisions that reflect Costco’s Code of Ethics.
  • Self-Motivated – Is well organized and able to prioritize and multi-task.  Maintain a commitment to honesty, integrity, and high levels of efficiency and accuracy at all times, including good follow through skills.
  • Team Player – Cooperates well with a variety of personalities and individuals and participates in a professional manner to accomplish the business goal.   
  • Problem Solver - Ability to identify and solve complex problems including problem de-escalation.
  • PC Skills - Thorough understanding and comfortable maneuvering through multiple applications. 

The typical hours for the positions are Monday - Sunday 7am to 9pm EST.  Sunday shifts pay time and a half.  All candidates must pass a typing test with a requirement of 30 wpm and complete an assessment to measure PC Skills.  

As a condition of employment with Costco, if you are offered employment, you will be required to undergo a criminal background and employment reference check, as well as submit to a drug test.

If you are selected to join our team, you will undergo a 12 day training class and must pass the certification test at the end of the training period. 

To begin your interview process, you will need to answer a few questions then pass our typing test with a minimum of 30 words per minute as well as a chat assessment. All candidates wishing to join the Member Service Center will need to complete this first round interview and go through our new hire training.
